What is the EU AI Champions Initiative? 

Launched in February 2025 at the AI Action Summit in Paris, the EU AI Champions Initiative is an ambitious effort led by the European Union to accelerate AI development and adoption across all industries. The initiative brings together top European technology leaders, policymakers, and investors to ensure that Europe remains competitive in the global AI landscape.  

Backing this vision is a €200 billion investment plan, with €150 billion pledged by private investors - including some of the most influential capital allocators in Europe. These investments are set to fuel AI-driven innovation in manufacturing, mobility, energy, and beyond.
